Privacy Policy

I respect your privacy and want you to feel comfortable when you visit my website or get in touch with me.

This privacy policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and how I use it.

Information I collect

You may choose to give me your name and email address when you:

  • sign up to my newsletter;

  • contact me through my website or by email; or

  • make an enquiry about my artwork, exhibitions or events.

I only collect information that I need in order to respond to you, provide a service, or keep you informed about my work.

My newsletter

If you choose to subscribe to my newsletter, I will use your email address to send you occasional updates about my artwork, exhibitions, events and other news.

I use Mailchimp to manage my mailing list and send my newsletters. Your name and email address are stored by Mailchimp for this purpose.

You can unsubscribe from my newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails.

I will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone else, and I will not use your email address for unrelated marketing.

My website

My website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace may collect and process certain information when you visit my website, such as technical information about your device and how you use the site. This helps to keep the website working and secure.

Squarespace's own privacy policy explains how it handles personal information.

How I use your information

I may use your personal information to:

  • respond to your messages or enquiries;

  • send you my newsletter if you have chosen to receive it;

  • deal with enquiries about artwork, purchases, exhibitions or events; and

  • keep my website and communications running properly.

I will only use your personal information for the purposes described here or where I have another lawful reason to do so.

How long I keep your information

I don't keep personal information for longer than I need it.

If you unsubscribe from my newsletter, I will stop sending you marketing emails. Your details may remain on a suppression or unsubscribe list so that I can make sure I don't contact you again by mistake.

Other information, such as correspondence relating to an enquiry or purchase, may be kept for as long as I reasonably need it, including where I have a legal or accounting obligation to keep records.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have rights in relation to your personal information. Depending on the circumstances, these can include asking me to:

  • tell you what personal information I hold about you;

  • correct information that is inaccurate;

  • delete your information;

  • stop using your information for certain purposes; or

  • provide you with a copy of your information.

If you have signed up to my newsletter, you can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in one of my emails.

If you have any questions about how I use your information, please contact me using the contact details on my website.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how I have used your personal information.

Changes to this policy

I may occasionally update this privacy policy if the way I use personal information changes or if the relevant privacy laws change. The latest version will always be available on this website.
